Champagne Marguet is placed in Ambonnay, a famous village in Montagne de Reims region. Benoit Marguet owns 12 ha of vineyards labeled as Grand Cru, where strictly grows only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The winery's approach, both harvesting and manufacturing, is organic. For example following the lunar cycles.
Marguet La Grande Ruelle 2012 from Pinot Noir has an energetic and fruity character of pears and apples and acidic fizziness. The taste has certain velvety qualities with woody undertones of tannin bitterness thanks to wine maturation in the oak barrels. Bold, fruity with earthy tones with a tint of red berries and citrus zest. Mouthful aftertaste.
Very good with dishes like pork, shellfish, sea fish with red meat or soft fresh cheese.
We recommend opening at around 9 °C.
