Gavi di Gavi, Villa Sparina DOCG 2021
An attractive yellow gold robe. A very fine and fruity nose, where one can also detect fine mineral and floral notes. The mouth is very balanced, with good length. There is good fruit concentration (exotic and citrus), with again good minerality. Laying down: this wine will keep for at least 5 years, it will soften over time. Food/wine pairing: it goes very well with shellfish, oysters and fish, also with some white meats, and fine charcuterie.
Bourgogne Blanc 2019, Domaine Heimbourger
Dry, fruity and light with classic – though subtle – Veltliner spice. Animated in the nose; multilayered with notes of citrus fruit, red apple and rosewood. Fresh and elegant on the palate; expressive, with good length.
Messwien Grüner Veltliner, Stift Göttweig
The winery is in the middle of the Wachau in the Danube valley in Austria, which is a particularly favourable area for wine making due to the climate and soil. For generations the family business has placed great value on sustainable wine making. The vineyards in the best locations around Weißenkirchen are individually farmed and cultivated according to their position, the soil and the type of grape. By careful processing during the harvest and wine making, the natural aromas of the different types of grapes are preserved. Steinfeder is satisfying through its liveliness, lightness and freshness. Compact on the palate a little sicey and well balanced.
Grüner Veltliner, Steinfeder, Jäger 2022
On the gently south-facing slopes of Mareuil above Clos des Goisses, chardonnay takes on a fleshy generosity, especially in a warm season like 2015. Jean-Paul Hébrart presents a masterfully crafted take on this, in a blanc de blancs of bright, pale straw hue that heralds its elegant freshness. A core of mirabelle plum and white peach is accented with the zest of grapefruit and lemon sherbet in an approachable and succulent style of generous spice complexity and ripe fruit persistence. The salt minerality of Mareuil upholds freshness on the finish, amplified strategically by a well-placed touch of the structure of Chouilly/Oiry.
Marc Hebrart Champagne 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs
Mitzi is a Gelber Muskateller so typical of Südsteiermark and was the byname of our grandma Maria. Grandma was our role model for what the annual cycle on the label is meant to symbolize: endurance for the ever-recurring activities in the vineyard; experience for handed-down country lore; and character that the wine owes to its vintage. The fresh and fruity Mitzi wine is best enjoyed with light antipasti such as graved trout, red beet with cottage cheese or saffron risotto. This Gelber Muskateller also gets the spirits high when drunk as an aperitif or sundowner. Mitzi, a light-hearted Gelber Muskateller, stands for sheer drinking pleasure. Its characteristic bouquet and animating acidity make it the ideal candidate for a wine to be enjoyed on a sunny terrace.
Gelber Muskateller MITZI, Gross & Gross 2021
The Heimbourger family have worked in the vines for 3 generations. Over the course of time this family business was spread over three appellations: Chablis, Irancy, Bourgogne. The aim has always been to get the best out of the terroir to offer you an enjoyable moment of tasting pleasure. Chablis 1er Cru Montmains is aged for 8 months in stainless steel tanks and then in 500 liter barrels for 4 to 6 months. A complex and well-balanced wine with a long, pale golden finish. The aroma is a combination of fresh and salty notes, the taste is ripe citrus and candied apples. An elegant and delicate wine suitable as an aperitif. It also goes well with oysters or fish and poultry in sauce.

A crisp Riesling with fresh odors from tangerine and orange-blossom. These are supported by Mirabelles. It contains a fresh and animating acidity with a mineralic aftertaste.

Chardonnay, from the Loire Valley, has a bright golden color with green highlights. The aroma is complex and very fresh, the taste is aromatic and pleasant on the palate. The taste of peach, dried tropical fruit, followed by lychee and lemon. With a hint of spiciness, it brings an admirable fresh finish. The smooth and creamy Chardonnay is very tempting to drink.
Les Marnes Chardonnay IGP, Madame des Fontaynes 2019
Our entry-level Riesling is a classy, lively and elegant culinary companion with fresh acidity and moderate alcohol (12.5–13%). Fermented after a short period of maceration at 20°C and left in steel tanks until mid-February, this Riesling has been delighting connoisseurs and novices alike for years. The grapes come from our vineyards in Gedersdorf, which grow on loess and gravel and in which Riesling – which places high demands on the site – obviously feels very much at home.
