The Caves of Bailly Lapierre, 430 winemakers bring their grapes to the cellar. The production rests in the immense underground galleries of an old quarry limestone. The cellar of Bailly-Lapierre invented the concept of crémant-de-bourgogne.
This Crémant de Bourgogne Rosé Bailly Lapierreis obtained by maceration of Pinot Noir (85%) and Gamay (15%). The first grape brings the “vinous” character and the second very characteristic red fruit aromas. Wine of pleasure par excellence, it offers a nice freshness, all in finesse, with a light foam and an airy mouth .
Patient aged on average 12 months bottles placed on slats, in the constant natural freshness and the hushed light of the quarry underground limestone (during this period there is the birth of effervescence).
The Fruitière Vinicole d’Arbois is one of the first cooperative wineries ever established in France. It was formed on 4 January 1906 at the instigation of 26 wine growers from the town of Arbois. At that time French vines had been nearly decimated by the grape phylloxera blight and the wine market was occupied by inferior wines without any designation of origin.
