Bottiglia Particolare IGT Supertuscan Castello di Verrazzano 2015

The winery Castello di Verazzano named after famous seafarer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who was originated from a family in Tuscanny with a wine farming tradition, was the first European, who saw the place where was New York built. The renovation of this winery in the 50s gave more quality to the organic and sustainable approach to wine-growing and the manufacturing process, but some of the parts of the winery can be dated back to the 15th century. The growing is mainly specialized on the red grape varieties as Sangiovese or Merlot, white wines are rarer.

The wine is a classic named Super-tuscany - cuvée from more red-grape varieties. In this case, it is made from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon and it is manufactured only from the best made years.

Ruby red colour with purple reflections. Intense aroma with undertones of small red fruit, black wood fruit, vanilla and oak. Elegant, rich, smooth tannins with a continuous taste of vanilla and chocolate tones.

Very good with matured cheese, steaks or game like boar.

We recommend serving around 18 - 20 °C.
