The winery Castello di Verazzano named after famous seafarer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who was originated from a family in Tuscanny with a wine farming tradition, was the first European, who saw the place where was New York built. The renovation of this winery in the 50s gave more quality to the organic and sustainable approach to wine-growing and the manufacturing process. The growing is mainly specialized on the red grape varieties as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, white wines are rarer.
Purple ruby red colour with an intense aroma full of fruit with concentrated tones of cherries, rose petals and wood. The taste is full, dry with nice well-rounded tannins.
Amazing with dishes as salami, red meat or game.
This wine is recommended to serve at around 16 - 18 °C.
