A wine from an iconic Burgundy winemaker from Gevrey – Chambertin with a long tradition of 13 generations of wine making. Dugat Py produces one of the most prestigious wines, mostly from Pinot Noir grapes. Their approach is organic (with no use of chemicals) and grows on bushes old up to 99 years. The wine ages in the oak barrels for 16 – 18 months, which gives an element of wood and tannins to its taste.
Captivating wine of dark ruby colour and full intense taste of red riped fruit with smooth velvety undertones balancing the overall impression. In general, the wines from this winemaker, is the best to open after 6 or more years old.
We recommend with dishes as duck, goose or feathered game, or perhaps just by itself and its exquisite taste. Although very untypical for the Burgundy wines, we recommend decanting, before drinking.
