The winery Castello di Verazzano named after famous seafarer Giovanni da Verrazzano, who was originated from a family in Tuscanny with a wine farming tradition, was the first European, who saw the place where was New York built. The renovation of this winery in the 50s gave more quality to the organic and sustainable approach to wine-growing and the manufacturing process. The growing is mainly specialized on the red grape varieties as Sangiovese or Merlot, white wines are rarer.
