The family winery manages 38 hectares of vineyards in the village of Bué, in Sancerre. Thanks to the diverse geological composition of the soil in Bué, besides the usual variety of Sauvignon Blanc, Crochet can also devote to the Pinot Noir variety, namely pink and red wines. La Croix du Roy is one of the most exquisite red wines in the whole area with a good bottling potential. Vintage 2011 gave light and fine Pinot Noir with ripe structured tannins, a cherry scent and a slightly smoky finish.
It will be suitable for poultry baking, pates and stewed meats. The classic combination is also made with fresh and mature goat cheeses.
Light, salmon-colored elegant wine is drunk the first two, three years after the harvest. It carries a spicy acid, smell of meadow flowers and forest fruits, especially strawberries.
