Cahmpagne Marguet is placed in Ambonnay, a famous village in Montagne de Reims region. Benoit Marguet owns 12 ha of vineyards labeled as Grand Cru, where strictly grows only Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The winery's approach, both harvesting and manufacturing, is organic. For example following the lunar cycles.
The 2010 Sapience, developed by Champagne Marguet, is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 33% Pinot Meunier and 17% Pinot Noir. Floral aroma notes with chestnut accent and sublime spice with salty hazelnuts. Slightly oxidized with notes of red apple, nutmeg and shortbread. A parallel of energetic structure with a punch of classy contouring tannin and taste of melange of citrus, dark berries and oxidant undernotes. Very fine with unpacking density with a long finish.
Very good with dishes from mushrooms or veal.
We recommend opening at around 8 - 10 °C.
