The Champagne Brut Collection by Louis Roederer is the result of the process undertaken at the beginning of the century by the Maison to convert its vineyards to biodynamic agriculture. In order to enhance the value of the vin de réserve and to get the best from each vintage, a new blending concept was born for an evolutionary Brut sans année that represents 3 main characteristics: balance, freshness and complexity.
This Champagne is the result of a blend of the three main varieties authorised in the Champagne region (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier) harvested from the historic vintners in the Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs, whose plots are selected directly by the Maison.
Each Cuvée of the Brut Collection is numbered progressively, indicating on the label the number of blends made in the history of the Maison, founded in 1776. A more modern and pleasant style is followed, bringing freshness, using the principle of réserve perpétuelle (blending wines from different vintages) and drawing inspiration from the year's harvest. A Champagne with a complex personality that reveals itself over time.
